Street Food Festival

On Sunday, in amongst the Chinese medicine, Celtic strips and the dodgy market sellers of the East End of Glasgow, there was gastronomique adventure occuring.

Kiltr had organised a Street Food Festival sponsored by Crabbies. My husband and I decided to introduce our 3 children to some authentic world cuisine and we were not disappointed. There was fantastic food to tickle every tastebud and menus to tease those who thought that dropping a dress size before Xmas was a realistic expectation.

We browsed every stall from Smoak, who had apple braised pork belly with waldorf salad, and Roast who were serving slow roasted Morrocan lamb through to Harajuku's appetizing thai noodles and fish cakes and ucocco who presented me with crisps and chocolate. Yes you heard correctly, crisps and chocolate. Which turned out to be a delectable dessert, one that I won't be repeating at home due to obvious reasons.

So more street food please and a little tip for those who like to try everything - take your kids with you because there is more chance you might just get a little taste of most things.
