I am meant to be writing today about essentials needed for travelling with children but decided it would be more cathartic to diarise my new business ups and downs.
Trying to order the towels has been interesting, as once my supplier had recognised my pleas to reduce the price, the Great British Pound slipped against the Almighty Dollar and they would end up costing me the same! Grr
Her lovely Majesties Revenue and Customs, I thought would be happy for me not to pay 20%VAT after reading on their website that ' childrens towelling bathrobes with a hood OR sleeves that are worn as a garment are exempt from VAT", but now think that may not be the case. ARhhhh
On a much more positive note, I got my first order for 15 hooded towels for Nippers in Edinburgh. Yehhhh
And I have been given the chance to pitch for a place on Entrepreneurial Sparks hatchery, a 5 month accelerator programme to help and support new business. It is meant to help one focus but I had better just check the Phase Eight website for a smart outfit to do my pitch in!
