A guide to 'uppers'.

Do you remember when an 'upper' was going out knowing you were looking good, then all of a sudden it's cheering the kids first few metres without stabilisers or their excitement at going on a train. (public transport, surprisingly, still excites them).

Well now, my latest 'uppers' are yoga with that feeling of having a spring in my step as I leave the class, only dampened by the knowledge that I probably won't practise at all until the next class. And tiny pieces of progress I make in my business, like yesterday, when my samples arrived and they were perfect or when I visited the Harrogate Nursery Fair and felt relieved that I wasn't in the pushchair business and having to choose a 'transport system' in todays sea of 4-wheel drives.

But nothing gives me more of an 'up' than taking my doggie for a walk first thing after kids have left for school. Sad but true.
